Zeno's arrow

This piece was originally made as a larger print, but on reflection I decided that it should just be about the main photograph. I did visit this football ground in South Shields on a number of occasions and incorporated elements of the clubs' week by week fixtures, but including an extra element seemed to take away from the original idea of having 'the common man' participating rather than spectating, and conceptually it became confusing.

The interesting thing about this football ground is that it can be viewed from the train that passes right behind the stand. It seemed to add an extra loop of 'time' as the traveller snatches their own snapshot of events.

The piece is now constructed as a series of lightboxes which flick on and off in a seemingly random sequence.
